Jhon Barger was the first to introduce the name of the blog in 1997. He used the term weblog to refer to a group of personal websites that are constantly updated and contain links to other websites that they find interesting accompanied by their own comments. While the pitas site (www.pitas.com) is the site that first created an online and free blogging service in July 1999. One month later, in August 1999, a disanfransisco company called pyra laboratory (www.pyra.com) launched a service blogger (www.blogger.com) which until now has become one of the biggest blogger services on the internet. The service allows anyone with basic knowledge of html and web programming to create their own blogs for free online.
With the ease of service provided by several sites that manage the blog, the development of bloggers is also increasing rapidly. according to statistics released by the blogger.com site, the number of users using their services is growing by around 20-40% per month. After blogger.com and pitas developed quite rapidly, a variety of online blogging services were provided by several sites, such as Groukoup (www.grouksoup.com) or edithispage (www.edithispage.com). Since then, blogs have been increasing rapidly so that it is increasingly difficult to follow them.
The first blog is most likely the "What's New" page on the Mosaic browser created by Marc Andersen in 1993. Mosaic was the first browser before Internet Explorer even before Nestcape. In January 1994 Justin Hall started his personal website "Justin’s Home Page" which later changed to "Links from the Underground" which might be called the first Blog as we know it today. Until 1998, the number of blogs that were still very small. This is because at that time special expertise and knowledge was needed about creating websites, HTML, and web hosting to create a Blog, so that only those involved in the field of the Internet, System Administrator or Web Designer who then in their spare time created their own Blogs.
